What is Personhood?
The right to have rights.

The unalienable right to life does not originate with the State. It is a God-given right, so it cannot be abridged by the State. It can only be recognized as an intrinsic right.

In 1973, Roe v. Wade was a 7-2 ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States.  Roe v. Wade and its companion case, Doe v. Bolton, legalized abortion through all nine months of pregnancy for any reason. As a result, over 60 million children have lost their lives to abortion in the United States.

​Cheif Justice Harry Blackman wrote: 
​
‘(If the) suggestion of personhood [of the preborn] is established, the [abortion rights] case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [14th] Amendment.’”

Prior to Roe, Supreme Court jurisprudence recognized the due process and equal protection rights of unborn persons:

Georgia Right to Life is leading the way to protect all innocent human life by amending the Georgia Constitution. The Personhood Amendment will provide legal protection to all innocent human beings from earliest biological beginning, until natural death.
***Please do not be mislead by the idea that women will be thrown in jail for miscarriges, ectoptic pregnancies, or for using contaception. None of these things are true. Personhood is about equal protection for all innocent human life.
